The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is dedicated to helping individuals develop healthier coping skills and build a recovery support network. Participants can continue to work, attend school, and tend to the duties of daily life. This nine-hour-a-week (three hours a day, three days a week) program allows patients the opportunity to practice their new skills while still benefiting from the support and accountability of treatment. This program allows participants to receive treatment on a part-time, yet intensive schedule. We believe that recovery and life are one and the same and it is for that reason that daily life is an integral therapeutic component of treatment.

Our therapists work with children, young adults and families in school settings, homes or in our convenient office located in Plaquemine, La. Our Dual diagnosis treatment is a comprehensive approach for treating substance use disorders that co-occur with another mental illness, such as anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The goal of dual diagnosis treatment is to help clients with these co-occurring disorders (also known as “comorbidities”) learn how to manage both illnesses (alcohol and anxiety, for example) via a combination of medication and behavioral therapies.
Medication management includes monitoring, reconciling medications, and ensuring patients get the desired outcomes. It requires a thorough review of prescribed drugs and their possible side effects to create treatment plans and monitor their safety and efficacy
